Q. I know I need a new look but I don’t know where to start?
That’s ok, our first tip is to search the Internet – it’s loaded with great ideas from competing businesses like yours, locally and overseas.
Plus, we’ll get you to fill out our branding questionnaire – it helps us to establish who your market is, what your personal and business goals are and how we can accurately identify your brand.
Q. I have a current logo that everyone’s familiar with and I’m scared to change it.
This is a very common question. What we find is that the best thing to do is to simply update it. Like everything logos can date; colours change and fonts become old fashioned. Remember your business isn’t the same as when you started, so updating your logo is a great place to start.
Q. I need a magazine ad done, how long does it take?
In general we would like 2-3 weeks as this gives us time to get everything perfect. Often it’s not so much the designing but collating all the components for the advertisement that takes the longest.
For example, here is what we would need to start:
1. We need to settle on a concept
2. We require the advertisement copy
3. We require the correct image size
4. We need to settle on the correct font and size
5. We need a high resolution logo
Then we can start.
Q. How long does a website take to build?
Depending on the type of website being built, generally allow say 6-10 weeks. Websites require considerable preparation in regards to the gathering and organising of content and imagery and we generally find these aspects take the longest part. If you have an existing site it is quicker because we can transfer the information.
Q. Who takes care of your hosting?
We have a preferred host but it is possible to work with your own host as we only require very basic details to start working on your site. From previous experience it really depends on the client.
Q. How can I learn how to use my new website?
We provide a user manual for you and organise some training videos that concentrate on the key functions that you need to do on your site. Plus, we offer on call and email assistance for the any time after your site is finished.
Q. What about printing – can you do that too?
Yes, we have an established relationship with an excellent printer in Brisbane whose rates are very good. Even if you are interstate, we can organise to have them sent to you. Often we find that the price is still cheaper even with the additional cost of postage which is around $20.
Q. How do I get a quote?
Simply email or call us to have a chat about your requirements so we can discuss anything you’re unsure about. Then we’ll fill out a brief over the phone and create our quote within 3 days. We try to make it as easy and efficient as possible as we know your time is precious!
Q. I see you’re located in Queensland, can we work together if I’m in another state?
Yes, we are located on the Gold Coast, right near some of Australia’s best beaches and surf! In terms of work, we do everything over the phone and over the internet using Skype and email, so geography is not a problem. I also text my clients when I have new drafts for them to check over so we are always moving a project forward.
Q. How do I pay?
All payments are made via direct debit. To make it easier for our clients, we can divide payments into 2-4 equal amounts and stagger the payments over the estimated duration of the project. For websites, we require the first installment prior to starting.
Q. I want to get more involved in social media but I just don’t have the time!
Yes, we totally understand! We used to be the same but have now implemented systems and support to make it so much easier. Just call us and we’ll explain.
Q. So I know social media is important but where do I start?
Like any other marketing tool, to be effective, social media needs to be used in context. For example, we use social media as a way to achieve several objectives:
1. Branding/credibility 2. Lead generation 3. Communication. We use the same approach for your business and apply systems that integrate social marketing into your everyday operations.
Q. I see your social media package is 3 months minimum, is that length of time really necessary?
The short answer is yes. We require approximately 3 months because it does take a little while to gain momentum in social media and we have found that the best results are achieved when a concentrated effort is made approximately 3 months in a row.
